Meet our Pastor, Chris Carter

Born to medical missionaries in Zambia, Chris has been pastor at St. Andrew's since 1999. He's happily married with two kids -- and a gold fish named Jimmy. A bit of a sports fanatic, and a man of contrasts, some of Chris' pasttimes include a passion for weight & fitness training, music and singing, most sports, especially softball and volleyball, and Smarties! Chris holds a B.A. in Sociology from York University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Knox College, Toronto that he earned in 1994.

His greatest passion is for Jesus, a loving Lord and a sacrificial Saviour Who gave everything to save Chris, a sinner saved by grace. Chris believes that God is actively positioning St. Andrew's King to do great things for His work in this world. He believes that the only and best kind of preaching is that which is based on God's Word, the Bible. He is humbled and over-joyed that God has called him to this pulpit in King, where we invite all who would to join us as we "aspire to be faithful followers of Christ, serving God in our community and beyond through worship, prayer, and outreach".
