Life Group Questions -- Holy Ghost Stories (7): Led by the Spirit -- November 15, 2009

Getting Started:

1. What impact can a good father or a bad father have on a person's life?
2. List every time the phrase "sinful nature" occurs throughout the whole of chapter 8. What can we learn about our sinful nature from that list?
3. Where is the battle for the control of your life going to be fought... and won or lost?
4. Since we are not set right with God by doing good works, what is the motive for changing our lives? How are we to deal with our sinful nature? (vs. 13-14; see 6:13, 19)
5. What does it mean to be "led by the Spirit" (vs. 14)? How does the Spirit help us fight our battles? Give an example.

Application:

1. What does it mean to you to call God "Abba"/Father? What does it mean to you to be a "co-heir" with Jesus?
2. How do these realities help/benefit us when we are asked to suffer for God?
